Manufacturing Engineer – Electromechanical Systems

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and improve assembly processes for its electric aviation programs. You will work with a cross‑functional team to deliver turnkey solutions that ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing long‑term costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop production readiness plans and evaluate producibility of new designs.
• Create and maintain clear Manufacturing Process Instructions for on‑line production.
• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop repeatable, statistically‑validated processes.
• Plan capacity to meet business targets and assess certification risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2‑5+ years of experience in assembly and test processes.
• Strong problem‑solving, project‑management, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally.

Required skills

• Statistical process control, design of experiments, and simulation techniques.
• Design for assembly, lean manufacturing, and capacity‑planning methods.
• Product/equipment validation (AQAP, PPAP).
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (GD&T).
• Lean Six Sigma methodology.
• Experience with PLEX ERP system.
