Manufacturing Engineer, Battery Systems

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and improve assembly processes for its electric aviation battery systems. You will work with a cross‑functional team to deliver turnkey solutions that ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing long‑term costs.

Key responsibilities

• Own all parts manufacturing for the assigned product focus area, from design through stable production.
• Design efficient assembly processes, tools, and equipment and commission them through factory and site acceptance testing.
• Participate in design and process reviews, assess certification requirements, and mitigate certification risks.
• Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, support make/buy analyses, and manage capacity planning.
• Collaborate with quality, design, and M&P teams to resolve NCRs and troubleshoot ERP issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• 2‑5+ years of experience defining assembly processes and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to travel.
• Project management and leadership experience.

• ERP systems (PLEX experience preferred).
• Lean Six Sigma methodology.
