Managing Director, Builder Capital Solutions

About the role

A confidential, senior‑level position leading Builder Capital Solutions for a fast‑growing homebuilder finance platform. The role partners directly with builder principals and executives to diagnose financing constraints and design practical, commercially viable capital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the senior subject‑matter expert for builder capital, engaging with homebuilders and related stakeholders.
• Diagnose financing needs across land acquisition, construction, inventory, project timing, growth plans and capital availability.
• Partner with sales and leadership to evaluate opportunities, structure recommendations and communicate solution fit.
• Translate complex capital questions into clear, executive‑ready narratives for internal and external audiences.
• Identify which builder situations are a strong fit, require deeper review, or should not move forward.
• Support market conversations with credibility, judgment and practical knowledge of builder operations.
• Apply structured thinking to ambiguous opportunities, outlining trade‑offs, risks, constraints and execution paths.
• Help sharpen the product point of view for builder‑facing capital solutions as the market evolves.

Required profile

• Direct experience with builder capital, homebuilder finance, residential development finance, land or construction finance, structured finance or treasury.
• Proven track record of owning or shaping capital structuring, financing recommendations or builder‑relevant transaction analysis.
• Ability to speak credibly with builder executives and understand practical realities behind their capital needs.
• Comfort in a sales‑adjacent role where impact comes from expertise, diagnosis, product judgment and commercial partnership.
• Strong senior presence, communication skills and ability to simplify complex capital topics for diverse audiences.
• Motivation to combine market‑facing judgment, product expertise and hands‑on problem solving.
