Managing Director – Boutique Hotel Pre‑Opening

About the role

HHM Hotels is seeking a dynamic Managing Director to lead the pre‑opening, launch, and ongoing operations of the Lady D Hotel, a newly renovated boutique property in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. This senior leader will shape the guest experience, drive profitability, and build a high‑performing team from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution of the hotel opening, including recruitment, training, and embedding core values.
• Oversee all hotel departments—front office, housekeeping, maintenance—to ensure seamless operations and adherence to sustainability guidelines.
• Drive financial performance by developing budgets, optimizing expenses, and conducting regular financial analysis.
• Maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction through service excellence and rapid issue resolution.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability across a diverse team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of operations management or comparable leadership experience in a hotel setting.
• Proven track record of successfully opening a lifestyle or boutique hotel.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with experience developing budgets and managing performance.
