Manager, Training and Application Support

About the role

Erie 1 BOCES is looking for an experienced, service‑driven leader to head its Application Support and Training Services. The manager will provide strategic and operational direction for application support and professional development that serve the administrative and financial systems of regional K‑12 school districts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise application support and training teams, setting short‑term goals and monitoring performance.
• Assess emerging customer needs, drive research and development, and guide districts in efficient use of RIC services.
• Provide administrative consultation on best practices and compliance with local, state, federal, and SED regulations.
• Develop and maintain effective internal and external communication channels, including web‑based resources.
• Analyze revenues and expenditures, prepare budget recommendations, and track district budgets.
• Partner with senior management on staffing, career development plans, and professional growth opportunities for staff.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in application support or training environments.
• Strong understanding of K‑12 school district business office finance systems.
• Ability to supervise classified staff, set measurable goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with district leaders and internal teams.

• Annual salary of $86,757 (including a $1,500 Masters incentive).
