Manager, Nutrition Services

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Manager for Nutrition Services to lead nutrition programs and ensure safe food practices across assigned divisions. This role combines operational oversight with direct delivery of medical nutrition therapy to support patient health goals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits to verify compliance with university policies, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Represent the department as the nutritional expert in meetings and interdisciplinary teams.
• Plan, modify, and oversee menus to meet special dietary needs of patients.
• Research, analyze, and report on special projects related to nutrition services.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels, train, and supervise nutrition staff.
• Develop, implement, and monitor nutrition care plans and performance‑improvement programs.
• Analyze financial impacts, forecast revenue and expenditures, and ensure budget adherence.
• Establish and assess internal controls, ensuring staff are trained on university policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Active Dietitian/Nutritionist License (LDN) and CDR certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in nutrition services or food service management.
