About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Manager of Nursing and Clinical Education to lead professional development activities, oversee nursing operations, and support staff growth. This full‑time position focuses on policy development, quality assurance, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Write, update, and maintain nursing guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate and enforce program, operational, and personnel policies.
• Ensure quality of care by aligning with state nursing regulations and measuring outcomes.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train nursing and auxiliary staff.
• Coach, counsel, and discipline employees to achieve performance goals.
• Design and implement safety and cleanliness protocols.
• Collect and analyze data for performance improvement and customer service standards.
• Oversee mandatory continuing education and competency assessments.
• Provide operational insights to nursing leadership for strategic planning.
• Assess internal controls, ensure compliance with university policies, and train staff on controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Valid State of Florida RN license.
