Manager, Accounts Receivable & Operations

About the role

Ambu A/S is seeking a Manager to lead its Accounts Receivable & Operations function. This hybrid role (3 days onsite in Columbia, MD) combines people leadership with operational oversight in a high‑volume B2B receivables environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AR Specialist team and Team Leads, handling coaching, performance management and KPI tracking.
• Drive accountability, workflow consistency and timely resolution of escalations across the AR function.
• Oversee full‑cycle B2B collections, dispute resolution, account reconciliation and credit hold management.
• Analyze aging trends, delinquency patterns and portfolio risk to inform proactive collection strategies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Pricing & Contracts, Logistics and Finance to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Support onboarding of new customer accounts, reviewing credit documentation and setup requirements.
• Utilize reporting and analytics tools to monitor performance, identify trends and support strategic decision‑making.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide reporting support for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AR or collections teams in a B2B environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data and drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multiple functions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage escalations and resolve complex disputes.
