Make Ready Specialist – Preston Park

About the role

We are looking for a Make Ready Specialist to prepare vacant apartments for new residents at our Preston Park community. You will ensure each unit meets Greystar’s quality standards before it is re‑leased.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements listed on the make‑ready checklist prior to resident move‑in.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as required.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervision.
• Assist with exterior upkeep: trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control by fixing parts instead of replacing them and using materials efficiently.
• Document completed work and submit the make‑ready checklist on time.
• Follow Greystar safety policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions and address maintenance complaints promptly.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in apartment turn‑over, maintenance or a related hands‑on role.
• Availability to work Tuesday‑Friday 9 am‑6 pm and Saturday 8 am‑5 pm, with on‑call duties.
• Ability to work independently, follow checklists and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to safety procedures and accurate documentation.
