Make-Ready Specialist – 4001 Midtown

About the role

The Make‑Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. Working on‑site at the 4001 Midtown community in Houston, you will perform a range of technical and mechanical tasks to turn units into market‑ready homes quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements listed on the community’s make‑ready checklist before new residents move in.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as required.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under the direction of the Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completion of the make‑ready checklist and any maintenance work in a timely manner.
• Follow Greystar safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answer questions and address maintenance complaints promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to follow checklists, safety procedures and cost‑control guidelines.
