Maintenance Technician – THEA (Metropolis)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas at THEA in Metropolis meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and occasional painting.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in high‑rise residential settings.
• Availability to work weekends as required.
• Ability to follow established procedures, safety protocols and documentation standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
