Maintenance Technician – The Wilson (San Francisco)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of The Wilson property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This full‑time, on‑site role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and minimizing material waste.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair building defects and mechanical issues.
• Experience with the make‑ready process for residential units.
• Proficiency in inventory tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to perform general cleaning, grounds upkeep, and minor painting tasks.
• Availability for on‑call duties as required.
