Maintenance Technician – The Waters, Hammond

About the role
Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Waters community in Hammond. The role focuses on ensuring the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders promptly.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose defects and carry out repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists and coordinating vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and follow established procedures.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- Experience in building or property maintenance is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and follow safety protocols.
Required skills
- Technical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Preventative maintenance practices.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
