Maintenance Technician – The Source on South Temple

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support The Source on South Temple property in Salt Lake City. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning and painting tasks.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Good organizational skills for tracking inventory and scheduling tasks.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventative maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with inventory management and documentation tools.
• Ability to operate pressure‑washing equipment and perform basic painting.
