Maintenance Technician – The Barton at Woodley

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the day‑to‑day operations of The Barton at Woodley. The role ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, cleanliness and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste of materials.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in building maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Good organizational skills for tracking inventory and scheduling tasks.

Required skills

• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with preventative maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with pressure‑washing equipment and basic painting tools.
