Maintenance Technician – Retreat at Riverbend

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team at the Retreat at Riverbend community. The role focuses on ensuring the property’s buildings, grounds, and amenities are safe, functional, and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to maintain proper records.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety and risk‑management meetings and adhere to Greystar’s safety policies.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with building maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures, safety standards, and documentation protocols.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and vendor coordination.
• Willingness to work onsite and respond to resident service requests promptly.
