Maintenance Technician – Render Turner Lake

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join Greystar’s team at the Render Turner Lake community in Covington. The role ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, obtaining supplies and completing all necessary maintenance tasks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing minor painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals and building codes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.

Required skills

• General building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Use of hand and power tools.
• Basic inventory management.
