Maintenance Technician – Overture Barrett

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join Greystar’s Overture Barrett community in Kennesaw. The role ensures that apartments, common areas and amenities are clean, safe and fully functional, supporting the company’s high standards for resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and maintain up‑to‑date paperwork.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors and team members.
