Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the physical plant of Sonesta hotels meets quality and safety standards. You will perform routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to work orders across guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching vinyl, painting, and repairing plumbing fixtures and kitchen/laundry equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC controls, electrical systems, lighting, and guest entrance doors.
• Refurbish and paint furniture and fixtures, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of exterior areas, pools, exercise facilities, signage, lighting, and snow removal.
• Secure inventory and tools, and keep front entrance, parking lot, and street entrance presentable.
• Inspect building components, read mechanical meters, and keep logs of scheduled work and energy usage.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and follow Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. service standards.
• Willingness to report hazardous situations and emergencies promptly.
• Capability to prepare equipment for daily use and maintain accurate maintenance records.
