Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that residential properties remain safe, clean, and fully functional for occupants while protecting the owner’s investment. This onsite role involves routine repairs, unit turn‑overs, and responding to resident service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance systems.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents by painting, cleaning, repairing, and installing fixtures and appliances.
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and amenities, including seasonal tasks such as snow removal and landscaping.
• Respond promptly to resident service requests and provide emergency coverage on a rotating basis.
• Document work orders, upload before‑and‑after photos, and track materials and labor in the property management system.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and fair‑housing guidelines.
• Coordinate with property managers, leasing staff, and external vendors as needed.

Required profile

• Prior experience in apartment, commercial, or residential maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Comfort working in confined spaces, at heights, and outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to read, write, and speak English.
