Maintenance Technician – Hominy RiverBlue

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Hominy RiverBlue community in Asheville. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, climbing, and operating cleaning equipment.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors, contractors, and residents.
