Maintenance Technician – Holloway

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Holloway property in Portland. The role focuses on ensuring that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all service requests and maintenance activities.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of property appearance and safety.
• Good organizational skills for tracking inventory and scheduling tasks.
• Willingness to work onsite and collaborate with vendors and property staff.
