Senior Residential AV Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AV Technician to lead high‑end residential projects from start to finish. Reporting to the project manager, you will work on‑site in the Mountain View area, handling all phases of installation and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑wire and rough‑in work for AV, control, and network systems.
• Complete finish and trim‑out tasks, including wiring termination, labeling, device installation, and equipment rack build‑out.
• Install and configure wired and wireless networks, setting up routers, switches, and access points.
• Test, commission, and document systems through punch‑list completion.
• Troubleshoot and service AV systems, responding to service calls as needed.
• Read blueprints and rack diagrams to correctly configure equipment and devices.
• Provide regular progress updates to project managers.

Required profile

• Trustworthy, eager to learn, and comfortable working hands‑on in the field.
• Minimum three years of steady work history in construction or AV installation.
• Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, and use power and hand tools safely.
• High emotional intelligence and a pleasant disposition.

Required skills

• Experience with Crestron, RTI, Lutron, and URC control systems.
• Proficiency in pre‑wire, rough‑in, and finish installation of AV equipment.
• Installation and configuration of wired and wireless network infrastructure (routers, switches, access points).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, rack diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Competence in troubleshooting AV systems and performing service calls.
