Maintenance Technician – Haven on Long Grove

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the Haven on Long Grove community. The successful candidate will ensure that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in regular safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues in residential properties.
• Experience with make‑ready turnover processes and coordinating vendors.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory tracking.
