Maintenance Technician – Goddard Point Hope

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Goddard Point Hope property in Charleston. The role involves ensuring that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and risk procedures.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and contractors.
