Maintenance Technician – Garey Building

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join Greystar’s team at the Garey Building in Los Angeles. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the property, its grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them according to company policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, repairs and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting.
• Availability for on‑call duties, weekend work and a Thursday‑Monday schedule.
• Eligibility for a 20 % housing discount.
