Maintenance Technician for Residential Property

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role supports resident satisfaction by addressing service requests and performing preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to keep building systems operating efficiently.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, and coordinating vendors or contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and follow up on outstanding tasks.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintenance manuals.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to diagnose mechanical or technical issues.
• Commitment to safety procedures and compliance with local codes.
• Effective communication with residents, vendors, and team members.
