Maintenance Technician (Emerson)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Emerson property in Sleepy Hollow. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all service requests and maintenance activities.
• Perform grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established safety and risk‑management procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Good organizational skills for scheduling vendors and managing inventory.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor and lift equipment as needed.
