Maintenance Technician – Downtown Houston

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its downtown Houston property. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, cleanliness and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with building systems and routine maintenance tasks.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and attend regular safety meetings.
• Strong organizational skills for tracking work orders and inventory.
• Customer‑service orientation to address resident needs promptly.
