Maintenance Technician – Chelsea Museum District

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Chelsea Museum District property in Houston. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by retrieving, tracking, and returning tools, supplies, and equipment, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and perform mechanical diagnostics.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory management.
• Commitment to safety policies and participation in routine safety meetings.
