Maintenance Technician – Bridgeport Property

About the role

The Bridgeport property in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Strong organizational skills for managing work orders, inventory, and make‑ready processes.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
