Maintenance Technician – Brewers Block

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Brewers Block property in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on preserving the safety, appearance, and functionality of the building, grounds, and common areas while delivering high‑quality service to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking of service requests.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate paperwork.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with residents, vendors, and supervisors.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
