Maintenance Supervisor – The Ravinia

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the interior and exterior of the community, including grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time position involves overseeing work orders, coordinating make‑ready processes, and maintaining property standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects from resident work orders and perform routine upkeep in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the make‑ready process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality and scope specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, assisting the Community Manager with budgeting and cost‑control initiatives.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance and lead safety meetings, keeping MSDS sheets current and adhering to OSHA regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; prior experience in property‑management or building maintenance.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely, read technical documents, and perform logical problem‑solving.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with effective communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
• Proficiency with internet, word‑processing, spreadsheet, and database tools; property‑management system experience preferred.

Required skills

• EPA Type I & II (or Universal) certification for HVAC work.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and MSDS handling.
• Competence with hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on the property).
