Maintenance Supervisor – Prince George’s County, MD

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This position combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of the maintenance team and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues and perform repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply ordering and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas and other community spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members and contractors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the policy manual.

Required profile

• Experience performing technical and mechanical maintenance in a residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate a maintenance team and external vendors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Organizational skills for inventory management and scheduling.
