Maintenance Supervisor – Northern Virginia

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas of the community meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This onsite role combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of make‑ready processes and vendor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders generated from resident requests, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in accordance with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversee the make‑ready process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, scheduling vendors, procuring supplies and inspecting completed work.
• Develop and maintain standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, building exteriors, common areas, signage, parking lots and other community assets.
• Periodically inspect work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating orders with the Community Manager while staying within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing maintenance operations in residential or multifamily communities.
• Ability to manage multiple work orders, vendor relationships and inventory simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of building systems, safety codes and preventative maintenance practices.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on maintaining high standards of appearance and functionality.
