Maintenance Supervisor – North Austin

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas within the North Austin community meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of preventative maintenance, vendor coordination and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose defects and perform repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Lead the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, procuring supplies and inspecting completed work.
• Develop and maintain standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, interiors, breezeways, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members and external contractors to ensure quality, compliance and corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating with the Community Manager to order supplies within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative‑maintenance procedures according to the policy manual.
• Assist the Community Manager with additional maintenance and operational tasks as required.

Required profile

• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and technical issues.
• Experience managing work orders and coordinating vendor services.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes and preventative‑maintenance practices.
• Strong attention to detail for inspecting work quality and developing corrective plans.
• Ability to manage inventory and adhere to budgetary guidelines.
