Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor at its IKO Glass Fiber facility in Chester, SC. The role supports the Maintenance Manager in plant maintenance, reliability and engineering initiatives, supervising maintenance personnel day to day so that work is done safely, efficiently and in line with production needs. It is a safety-sensitive position.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities, assign work, monitor progress and ensure timely completion
• Coordinate maintenance personnel, contractors and production teams to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Run preventive and predictive maintenance programs and use the CMMS for work orders, scheduling and tracking
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate repairs, identify failure trends and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, upgrades and modifications
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, including SC OSHA, EPA, SC DHEC, NFPA, NEC and FM standards
• Maintain plant systems such as fire protection and security systems and keep accurate maintenance records
• Train, coach and develop team members and communicate with operations, engineering and management

Required profile

• Prior maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Five or more years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and in high-temperature conditions
• Ability to safely lift or move materials up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including working at heights
• Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with availability to respond to emergencies
