Maintenance Supervisor – Embark Community

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor for the Embark community ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. Working Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule, you will lead both routine upkeep and resident‑initiated service requests.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects from resident work orders, adhering to company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, task completion, and final inspections.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, interiors, signage, leasing office, garbage areas, parking lots, and other common spaces.
• Conduct periodic inspections of work performed by internal service team members and external contractors to ensure compliance with quality, scope, and specifications, and create corrective action plans as needed.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials, coordinating with the Community Manager to order supplies within budgetary guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience supervising property maintenance operations and coordinating vendor services.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and standard maintenance procedures.
• Ability to assess work quality, develop corrective actions, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, team members, and contractors.
