Maintenance Mechanic – Production & Facility Equipment

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic will ensure reliable operation of production and facility equipment at Arkema’s Hahnville plant. You will perform a mix of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair pumps, agitators, gearboxes, piping, valves, mechanical seals and rotating equipment (40%).
• Perform precision alignment, bearing replacement, lubrication and equipment overhauls.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and monitor equipment condition through vibration analysis and lubrication programs (25%).
• Diagnose mechanical failures, lead root‑cause investigations and suggest reliability improvements (15%).
• Create work requests, update the CMMS, manage spare‑part inventory and support procurement (10%).
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, participate in safety meetings and mentor junior technicians (10%).

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience on rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance procedures.
• Commitment to safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
