About the role
Amentum is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic I who performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings. The work requires practical skill and knowledge of trades such as painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing and masonry.
Key responsibilities
- Replace motors
- Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings with plaster or compound
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers and toilets
- Paint structures and equipment
- Repair or replace concrete floors, steps and sidewalks
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles
- Hang doors and install door locks
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of general maintenance experience
- Ability to read and write at a level sufficient for the job
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- TS/SCI clearance with CIP
Required skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
