Maintenance Mechanic III – Food Manufacturing (Electrical & PLC)

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to join our food‑manufacturing plant. The role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment, with a focus on electrical, PLC, and mechanical systems. You will work across all shifts to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (480 V, 240 V, 120 V).
• Diagnose and fix PLC issues, primarily Allen‑Bradley controllers.
• Repair conveyors, augers, mixers, pumps, drive systems and other mechanical components.
• Maintain fillers, cappers, cookers, coolers and other processing equipment.
• Execute welding, torch cutting and plasma cutting tasks.
• Service refrigeration units, boilers and water‑softening systems.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a food‑processing environment.
• Strong background in AC/DC electrical systems (480 V required).
• Proven experience with Allen‑Bradley PLC troubleshooting.
• Welding certification or demonstrable welding experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lb regularly and work all shifts.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
