Maintenance Mechanic – 2nd Shift (2:30 pm‑10:30 pm)

About the role

The Maintenance Mechanic works the 2nd shift (2:30 pm‑10:30 pm) to keep production and facilities equipment running at design efficiency. The role involves installing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of mechanical and electrical plant assets while following safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, service and repair of all plant equipment with minimal supervision.
• Follow LOTO and other safety protocols while working on pumps, motors, compressors, blowers, dust collectors, fans, heat exchangers, gearboxes, valves, extruders and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and replace electrical components such as circuit breakers, fuses, contactors, solenoids, safety switches, transducers, relays and heating systems.
• Carry out minor welding, metal cutting and fabrication tasks.
• Execute preventive maintenance (PM) plans, complete work orders and maintain accurate documentation.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Operate maintenance shop tools, electrical meters, forklift, scissor lift and other required equipment.
• Plan daily work, support projects and plant shutdowns, and maintain housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED; trade school or vocational certificate in electrical or maintenance preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience in a maintenance or electrical role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.) for communication and documentation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lb, climb ladders, and work in non‑climate‑controlled environments.
