Maintenance Control Clerk - 3rd Shift

About the role

The Maintenance Control Clerk works in the intermediate maintenance department, performing administrative and clerical duties with computers, typewriters and related equipment. The role processes, screens and maintains aircraft maintenance records, gives technical guidance on maintenance documentation and uses NALCOMIS OOMA/IMA to document maintenance actions. It is a 3rd-shift position.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and induct repairable components into the repair cycle and complete maintenance forms accurately.
• Order and receive parts, supplies and office supplies for intermediate maintenance work centers.
• Maintain work center rosters, tool inventory lists and job control number (JCN) logs.
• Enter data and produce reports, including NALCOMIS work orders and work requests.
• Comply with FOD, hazardous waste and tool control programs, and general safety rules.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; two years of aviation clerical experience.
• Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces aviation clerical courses or equivalent, or two years of on-the-job training and experience.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate English and follow instructions.
• Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute; close vision, color vision and depth perception.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a pre-employment drug screening and company physical.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, terminology and aircraft systems.
• Good working knowledge of computer programs, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• NALCOMIS OOMA experience desired but not required.
