Machinist – 2nd or 3rd Shift

About the role

The Machinist will work in Airbus’s Machine Shop, setting up and operating CNC production equipment as well as manual milling and lathe machines. The position is available on the 2nd shift (2:00‑10:30 PM) or 3rd shift (10:00 PM‑6:30 AM) and requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC mills, lathes, routers and laser machines.
• Operate manual milling machines and lathes for precision part production.
• Create and edit CNC programs using Catia and CAM software, reading and writing G‑code.
• Interpret engineering drawings and ensure parts meet quality and dimensional specifications.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine inspections and troubleshoot machining issues.

Required profile

• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow safety procedures.
• Experience reading technical drawings and blueprints.

Required skills

• CNC operation (3‑axis and 5‑axis).
• Manual milling and lathe operation.
• Catia CAD software.
• CAM programming and G‑code editing.
• Familiarity with routers and laser machining equipment.
