Machine Operator – CNC & Robotics

About the role

Sandvik is seeking a mechanically‑inclined professional to join its advanced manufacturing team in Westminster, SC. As a Machine Operator II you will set up, run and monitor CNC and robotic equipment to produce high‑quality components that meet strict blueprint specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Select and prioritize production jobs using the Sites Control System.
• Set up equipment according to work instructions, blueprints and engineering specs.
• Develop and adjust basic CNC programs to support production needs.
• Adjust machine parameters, perform robot calibrations and verify process capability with SPC.
• Use precision measurement systems to ensure products meet specifications and conduct visual inspections.
• Monitor efficiency and utilization targets, performing routine equipment and tooling maintenance.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and support training of less‑experienced operators.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area and follow all safety policies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• 1–3 years experience in a mechanical, manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and work instructions.
• Experience with CNC‑controlled equipment, automation or robotic systems.
• Familiarity with precision measuring devices and quality inspection processes.
