Machine Operator (CNC Machine)

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking a Machine Operator to work on CNC and conventional machines producing composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB. The role involves operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous flow on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools to produce parts to exact tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering specifications to determine machining sequences.
• Perform routine machine maintenance such as filter changes, lubrication and coolant level checks.
• Move products within the manufacturing area and support downstream operations.

Required profile

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
• Ability to work any shift and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 lb.
• Willingness to obtain MVP qualification and assist lower‑level employees.
