Machine Operator – Blow Mold & Injection Production

About the role

The Machine Operator is responsible for running blow‑mold, PET, and injection molding equipment, as well as grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems at our Kentwood facility. The role ensures continuous production, adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices, and supports quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate blow‑mold, PET, and injection molding machines (wheel, reciprocating, or shuttle) to produce quality bottles.
• Troubleshoot process problems and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct bottle inspections, drop tests, and quality checks during production.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety policies.
• Monitor and replenish packaging material supplies.
• Document daily production data, including rejects, regrinds, and line efficiencies.
• Prepare maintenance request forms and log equipment repairs.
• Escalate any bottle abnormalities or quality issues immediately.

Required profile

• Demonstrates safe work practices and wears appropriate PPE.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work an 8‑hour second shift.
• Team‑oriented with a cross‑functional attitude.
• Willing to participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Complies with corporate safety standards and regulatory requirements.
