Machine Operator A – Manufacturing

About the role

Elevate is looking for a Machine Operator A to join its manufacturing team. You will operate key equipment on the production line, ensuring product quality and operational efficiency. This is a hands‑on position in a safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the pour table and laminator according to job specifications.
• Verify product run information and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Monitor wet density, line speed, and other efficiency metrics.
• Set stops, guides, and align work pieces using scales, rules, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Measure work‑piece dimensions and perform minor maintenance such as oiling.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from finished pieces.
• Assist teammates with set‑up, stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished work.
• Enter labor data and perform inventory adjustments using a computer.
• Operate material‑handling equipment to move materials as required.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow all standard operating procedures safely.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of machine‑operator experience.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
• Compliance with all safety protocols and proper use of PPE, including respirator fit requirements.

Required skills

• Machine operation (pour table, laminator).
• Material‑handling equipment usage.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
