LPN – Med/Surg Endoscopy Outpatient

About the role

The LPN – Med/Surg supports pre‑ and post‑procedure patient care in the Endoscopy Outpatient unit, working closely with physicians and the clinical team to ensure high‑quality, efficient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic procedures and perform high‑level disinfection and reprocessing of scopes.
• Provide patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician, including medication administration and monitoring for adverse reactions.
• Collect and document objective and subjective patient data, complete nursing assessments, and implement care plans.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and educate patients and families about procedures and post‑care instructions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• IV certification highly preferred.
