LPN – Kaplan Behavioral Health Unit (PRN)

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care in the Kaplan Behavioral Health Unit on an as‑needed (PRN) basis. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the LPN will deliver compassionate, high‑quality care to a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Administer direct nursing care, including IV therapy, to assigned patients following the Licensed Practical Nurse Act.
• Collaborate with ancillary nursing staff, multidisciplinary teams, and other personnel to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong time‑management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
